Saturday sees racing at headquarters for two of our team.
The Fangsta lines up in race 3 1600m R81 handicap, coming off a close up third last start at Canterbury. Nathan Berry will claim 3kg, to carry 54.5kg, in a small field of eight. He has been racing in terrific form, and gets his chance here to grab a city victory.
Mr Gilly will compete in race 5 over the 2400m, a true out and out stayer, he has been racing in great heart of late, and come from a mile back last start on this track to run second. Grant Buckley takes the ride here and carries the minimum 53kg. |

Having her ninth start, the Universal Prince mare has now a win and a minor placing to her name.

| Hometrack Runners for Thursday 12/11/08 |
 |
Wyong racing on Thursday will see two of our horses competing.
In Race 2 1200m maiden for fillies and mares, Millionsnmillions , having her first start for us, the Danehill Dancer filly, has arrived from Melbourne, where she had the five starts for a second at Kyneton last outing. Grant Buckley takes the ride on her, drawn out in gate 11 may mnake the task a touch difficult, hopefully will get some luck.
Umpire Bird will be in race 7 1600m R71, after a last start second at Canterbury over 1550m, Grant Buckley will ride him for us. He has had a good campaign also, and is a horse who gives every time he steps out. He enjoys this track, with a win and two seconds from five attempts here. |

| The Fangsta for NSW 12/11/08 |
 |
| The Fangsta heads to Canterbury today in the race for apprentices over the 1550m. The invitational race for the up and coming riders from all over the country. With Mitchell Beadman taking the ride for NSW. He has had a consistent campaign this time in and deserves another crack in town after his last start run, where he was shuffled back in traffic at a crucial stage of the race, and never really had a chance at them. His start before that was an impressive win over the mile at home. |
 |
| Queen at Newcastle 8/11/08 |
 |
| We have just the one runner today, Queen Of Hearts at Newcastle, will compete in race 8 1600m R65. Jon Grisedale will take the ride on her. Last start began awkwardly and lost ground. She has won her only race on this track with one other minor placing to her credit here too. |
 |
| Black Type on Offer for Our Fillies 6/11/08 |
 |
Kimillsy and See The Angels step out at Flemington today chasing black type races.
Firstly See The Angels will contest the Cadbury Roses (listed) for 3yo fillies down the straight over 1200m, her last start at Moonee Valley had excuses when wide most of the trip. Will see an improved run here.
Kimillsy will then represent the stable in the Group 1 Oaks, she has not put a foot wrong since Saturdays Wakeful run, and will get the distance. |
 |
| Perfect Draw in Oaks 3/11/08 |
 |
Thursdays VRC Group 1 Oaks acceptances have been finalised. Kimillsy has drawn perfectly in gate 2. The favourite, Samantha Miss has drawn right next door in 3, in a 16 horse field. Steven King had no hesitation getting back on her after her terrific run on Saturday in the Wakeful Stakes.
Kimillsy has pulled up beautifully, and is bright as a button since. The 2500m looks right up her alley now, and will certainly test Samantha Miss in this one. |
 |
| Eyecatching Oaks Trial 1/11/08 |
 |
Kimillsy turned in a terrific eyecatching performance in the Wakeful Stakes at Flemington today in the lead up to Thursdays VRC Oaks. After being midfield in transit, things werent looking good when she was shuffled back before the home turn and in traffic, but once she got out and saw daylight she made up a ton of ground late to finish fourth, beaten less than 2 lengths by the winner. That run will top her off beautifully now for the big one she has been aimed for this prep.
At Newcastle today, Baron Ruthven, having its first start for the stable, the 7yo son of Rubiton knuckled down to finish a good second in race 6 beaten by a length. |

| Delago Star Ready for Cup Day 31/10/08 |
 |
Tuesday will see Delago Star compete in the Emrirates Airline Plate over the 1800m on Melbourne Cup Day at Flemington. Drawing 2 of 16 and to be ridden by Dan Nikolic, carrying 53kg. The bigger track will certainly suit him, and the distance will not be a concern either. His last start at Moonee Valley was full of merit, however the tight turning circuit may not have been to his liking, but he fought on well and wasnt far off the winners.
Tuesday will also see Mr Gilly and The Fangsta head to Randwick for races there. In race 7 Mr Gilly will contest the 2400m, with a 3kg relief for Kody Nestor taking the mount. He is a tough stayer, who keeps grinding these distance races right out. A big chnace for the team.
In race 8 The Fangsta over the mile trip, in a capacity field of 20, will also have a 3kg allowance for Kody Nestor. Having no luck last start, after being caught in slow traffic, will be much better suited here, and a change of fortune will see him figure.
A big day for the stable on Cup day. Good luck to all connections. |
